I had the privilege of working with Jenny Brown as my Spiritual Director. It was an amazing experience in which I could come to her with honest thoughts and I knew there would be no judgment. She was a listening ear, but more than that she used her God given talents to mentor and give new perspectives to situations. She led with love and grace. It was never about her, but about deepening the relationship with Jesus. Every session was very intentional and I left feeling hopeful and my spiritual cup full. Working with Jenny Brown for the past couple years has been a blessing and an honor.
She has not only helped me get through tough times, but she has allowed me to see through
what I’m feeling and why I am feeling those things. Jenny... checked in on me consistently
throughout the time that we shared and she still does.
     As to her character, its unmatched. She has an energy that automatically could brighten a
person’s day. Her enthusiasm and lifting spirits helped me see the good in every situation
whether that was talking about my heart surgery or getting in a tough basketball drill. Her
eagerness to help me in every situation is unlike any other person I’ve met in my life. She’s very
reliable and will treat you as if you’re one of her own family members.
     Spiritually, Jenny is a wonderful guide for the journey of life. She has the ability to bring out
the best in me whenever we’re together. I feel as if she has brought me closer to God and has
made me an overall better person.
     I’m honored to walk through this life knowing that Jenny will always be there. If you’re
looking for somebody that will be there for you spiritually, mentally, and physically, Jenny Brown

Coaching for Coaches & Teams

...deep conversation that brought us closer as a team

As a coach, we are continually trying to find ways to better our programs and build young leaders for our teams, but also for the real world. I needed extra guidance with a high-performing team to get them to the next level. This is when I contacted Jenny Brown. Jenny was able to guide my team through an afternoon of team building, leadership knowledge, and helping them become closer on and off the court.  Jenny prepared outstanding physical, emotional, mental, and social activities that challenged my athletes, and us coaches.  She guided us to have deep conversations that brought us closer as a team.  Jenny puts her heart and soul into individualizing the perfect event for my team.  She made herself available throughout our entire season for my leaders and myself to touch base with her, as well as her making sure that we were continuing down the correct path.

...remarkable all that was achieved in... a small amount of time

Jenny Brown came to my volleyball camp. On the first day, Jenny had 1 hour to work with the team. Her and I previously worked together to make small groups, each group had a designated leader. During this time, Jenny led the girls through several bonding activities. But these activities were designed to be more than the standard surface level ice breakers. They pushed the girls to dive deeper than that. They set goals with each other, both as individuals and as a team. They brainstormed together on how to achieve those goals. It brought them together through building a common foundation, a foundation each member of the team was a part in laying. 
     As wonderful as day 1 was, day 2 was when the real “magic” happened. Each girl was asked to bring 3 items to share with the team. Item 1 was meant to reveal a lot about you. Item 2 was a picture of someone who made a positive difference in your life. Item 3 was something you were proud of.  Sharing these items in front of the entire team brought everyone so much closer together. They were vulnerable to each other and felt supported and loved in those moments. 
     Jenny shared her 3 items first, to begin the exercise. She was vulnerable as well, which led the team to trust and buy in to her. It was truly remarkable. There were tears, laughs, hugs, and a lot of praise. After this, Jenny guided the girls to come up with a saying or motto for the year. Something we could always go back to and fall on. Together, the team came up with “4 Each Other.” Under this new found principal were 4 pillars we committed to. “Trust” “Fearless” “Positivity” “Grit”
These were the pillars of the newly formed foundation. It is quite remarkable, all that was achieved, in such a small amount of time. “4 Each Other” really unified us, brought us closer together, and gave everyone on the team, coaches included, a common foundation. This would not have been achieved without the thoughtful planning and delivery from Jenny Brown. She has the skills and background to really push young athletes to be vulnerable, supportive, and motivated which led them to being better teammates. 
     As the season fast approached and ultimately began, Jenny continued working with the team through another avenue. She started meeting and providing our elected captains leadership training. During these sessions, Jenny guided our captains through activities meant to build them up as leaders, give them confidence, teach them to be assertive, hold their teammates accountable, and be the liaison between the team and the coaches. 
     As the head coach, I also attended these sessions and benefited from the lessons and activities. Jenny has a way of really pushing people, in a gentle and supportive manner, to go outside their comfort zone and be effective leaders. I was so impressed with her abilities to do this, her knowledge, her intuition, and the thoughtful and effective practices she took the girls through. I believe these sessions and the activities she led at camp were extremely beneficial to the team and had a positive impact on attitudes, chemistry, and leadership! There is not a person more qualified or anyone I could recommend more highly to work with young student athletes, than Jenny Brown.
